Clear Laminated Architectural Glass, 1/4″ Thick, CAT II Impact-Rated

Laminated Glass encompasses two pieces of glass that are permanently bonded together with an interlayer type including polyvinyl butyral (PVB), Sentry Glass (SGP), and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA). Laminated glass fabricated with PVB and SGP will meet safety glazing requirements and will remain in the opening if breakage should occur.

While eliminating almost 99% of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, the interlayer can also reduce sound transmission in areas of high traffic or where constant noise is present and needs to be controlled. Heat-treated glass can be laminated together to provide a stronger finished product for the most demanding applications.

• 1/4″ thick clear laminated CAT II impact-rated glass (comprised of two plies of 1/4″ glass and a .030″ PVB interlayer)
• Glass meets the requirement of ASTM C 1172 Standard Specification for Laminated Architectural Flat Glass and the safety criteria of CPSC 16 CFR 1201, Category II; and ANSI Z97.1, Class A
• NOT fire-rated
